dunnhumby was formally established in Canada in 2009 to help put the customer at the heart of Metro’s business decisions - and those of its suppliers. Together, we develop insights based on the shopping behaviour of over three million people every week.

The dunnhumby team has a wealth of international experience from all parts of the globe, ensuring that assortment, pricing, promotions and other retail decisions meet the customers’ wants, needs and desires. Customers repay that loyalty to putting their interests first with their own, buying one more product, one more time – or put simply – growing our clients’ brand value.

dunnhumby started working with Metro in Ontario on a Proof-of-Concept phase as early as 2008. We initially focused our work on the Metro banner, but on the strength of our partnership with Metro we now cover the Food Basics discounter banner as well.

In Quebec, we supported the highly successful launch of Metro’s new metro&moi loyalty programme in 2010, and have since expanded our activities to work with both the Metro supermarket and the Super C discounter banners.

We enable our manufacturer partners, including Kraft, PepsiCo and Nestlé, to use our customer insight to deliver a better shopping experience and more relevant marketing to their customers. Our team, based at our offices in Montreal, Toronto and Gurgaon (India), is working with a rapidly growing client base of prestigious companies across a large number of categories.
