The first graduate batch of dunnhumby India joined us on 16 June, 2008 with an unparalleled enthusiasm, ready to head start their careers. They are a mixed bunch, from different top institutes of India (including IIT, NSIT, and JNU) but they all have one thing in common: the passion to learn and dreams of making it ‘BIG’!

After an introduction to an informative and eventful all company event, the graduates were filled with excitement for the journey ahead. It had provided useful insights about the company, familiarised the graduates with the work culture of dunnhumby and prepared them for the thrill and the challenge ahead.

The graduates received a warm welcome from the dunnhumby India team, with everyone willing to extend a helping hand. The assigned buddies went out of their way to be of help, whenever needed. The cordial and friendly work environment ensured that the graduates felt at ease. We held a Fresher’s’ party, on 26 June, 2008 which provided everyone, the graduates as well as the seniors, an opportunity to interact and have fun together. It was a gala with a dance party and team games.

A comprehensive six weeks training program, comprising of interactive sessions and field visits tuned them to the nature of the work and set them up to take on live projects in different markets. This was accompanied by a three day corporate induction course delivered by Jo Braddock from Learning & Development. The induction gives a comprehensive understanding of the sectors and the challenges those businesses face and how dunnhumby help them through the products and services our service line teams deliver. The induction is a mix of presentations and interesting activities highlighting our key ways of working, our values and culture. It is a fun and collaborative way for the graduates to spend time getting to know each other and the business.
