dunnhumby is a company that believes in living its values - which is why dunnhumby is passionate about giving back to the community whenever possible. Each year a company-wide vote chooses which local charities our Helping Hands programme will support. Anybody can nominate a charity that is close to their heart.
For example, our partnership with the Freestore Bank grants me the opportunity to volunteer and pack food for families in need throughout southern Ohio. I've not only shared that great experience with my graduate class, but also with people from all levels of dunnhumby. Our leaders don't just say it's important to help those in need; they're right next to you packing cans of food or building playgrounds.
And dunnhumby is always open to making giving back fun I never imagined I'd be working for a company that allows me to dress up as Ronald McDonald while competing in a sack race to raise money!

Collaboration, Curiosity, Passion and Customer First are the values at the heart of everything we do on a daily basis. One of my favorite ways that we demonstrate these values is Helping Hands, our global charitable initiative, which makes sure we can support the communities we work in. This year, I was given the opportunity to lead our engagement with The Children's Home of Cincinnati, one of four chosen by the dunnhumby team in the USA. Working alongside this organization has given me the chance to meet amazing individuals and work to better our community each and every day.

As a new graduate joining dunnhumby, I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer effort that went into demonstrating the importance of dunnhumby's core values- Passion, Curiosity, Collaboration and putting the Customer First.
At dunnhumby, our values are not restricted to the corporate world. One of the ways that the values are brought to life is the Helping Hands initiative. It is a global initiative in which dunnhumby chooses charities that make a difference in the communities we work in. Our Helping Hands team in India has been working with the LEU Foundation, a Gurgaon based NGO that provides education and vocational training to under privileged children. It's a very challenging and enriching experience to be able to contribute to the communities around us, grateful for the opportunities we've had.

Everyone at dunnhumby is encouraged to take part in our charity days organised by our charity committee, Helping Hands. Most recently I took part in a sports day at a nearby primary school teaching local youngsters how to play futsal. It was a great day out where I actually learnt a lot of useful leadership and teamwork skills that I could take back to work.
Other events I have been involved in include helping with some renovation work at a special needs farm and also and a CV and interview skills day for job seekers.
And these are just the events I have taken part in. There are several others each year and it is very pleasing to work for a company that is giving back to the community.
