About our data science team
At dunnhumby, we build world‑class retail data science, powered by AI and applied at scale. We work hands‑on with rich customer data, using advanced analytics to solve real‑world challenges across pricing, promotions, personalisation and customer experience.
Our data scientists have clear ownership and impact, seeing their work move from insight to action in the products and decisions used by leading retailers and brands. Working in multidisciplinary teams, we combine data science, engineering, product and commercial expertise, offering applied AI at scale, strong mentorship and the chance to grow into a world‑class data scientist.
Our tools and tech
Our data science teams work with a modern, AI-powered ecosystem that enables rapid experimentation and scalable impact. From cloud-based environments and flexible sandboxes to production-grade infrastructure, we support the full lifecycle of data science work.
We leverage advanced AI tools like Google Gemini, Vertex AI, GitHub Co-pilot, and Microsoft 365 Co-pilot to accelerate development and collaboration, alongside tools like MLflow for reproducibility. As our ecosystem evolves, we are also introducing platforms like Looker to further enhance how insights are shared and scaled.
With strong engineering support, governance, and collaborative workflows, our teams are able to focus on solving meaningful problems while building reliable, production-ready solutions.
